The Museum of the Origins of the Polish State tells the story of the birth of Poland – from the Slavic tribes, through the baptism and the Congress of Gniezno, to the coronations in Gniezno Cathedral. It is an excellent first stop that helps you understand the history of the city and the region.
Multimedia exhibitions, models of strongholds, displayed artefacts and a historical film make the visit engaging for children and teenagers too. After the museum, the cathedral and Lech Hill are even more interesting to visit.
