The Grzybowo Stronghold is one of the largest surviving strongholds from the early Piast state, with impressive defensive ramparts. On site there is an educational pavilion (a branch of the Museum of the First Piasts at Lednica) that brings to life what life looked like over a thousand years ago.
It is an interesting, less crowded point on the Piast Route, ideal for those who want to step off the main tourist trails. The vast ramparts make a strong impression.
