Trzemeszno is a small town on the Piast Route, famous for its monumental Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St Michael the Archangel. The church, with a Baroque-Classicist interior, is connected with the cult of St Adalbert, whose body – according to tradition – was to rest here on the way to Gniezno.
It is a convenient trip near Gniezno, ideal as a complement to exploring the Piast Route. The impressive interior of the basilica makes a strong impression.
